a saturday at home

What an exciting title for a blog post, you are thinking. But a Saturday when we are all home together is what I look forward to. They are few are far between. It is the only day we all have the chance to wake up and spend the day together, eat breakfast together, have some coffee...you know the little things. There is a chance of this happening maybe twice a month. Often though, David is so tired from the week that he sleeps in. So it literally is a real treat when all 3 of us begin a day together like we did this one. 

It was a simple day of coffee and doughnuts from the grocery store, gameday on in the background, sandbox playing, legos, and football watching. 

David grilled burgers for lunch while Owen and I enjoyed a cool morning. Cooper got a new toy this week. He has an ear infection and deserved a new treat. 

Owen was insistent on taking some pictures by himself. So we gave him a turn and actually he did pretty good...

Our Tigers won their game, my boys made a trip to Cabela's and Owen went to bed early.

I will take a Saturday at home over any big over-the-top weekend any day. Sometimes they are just needed...to refuel on what matters most.
