hannah's wedding

While we were home, I had the honor of attending a sweet friend's wedding.

Hannah was one of the first people I met when I moved to Greenville in the fourth grade. She was a dear friend as we grew up and it was an honor watch her walk down the aisle and marry Andrew.

Ever detail of Hannah's wedding was beautiful and well thought out.

The wedding could not have been more perfect... classic, elegant, and southern.

This sweet couple was my date for the wedding...always love my time with Amy and Trey.

The food was delicious...

and is was great to catch up with some friends from high school...we are all pretty spread out now between Florida, Turkey, New York, Tennessee, Texas and Washington, D.C.

While I was busy catching up with some of my friends, my mom was catching up with her childhood friend, Janie.

I have heard so many stories about the Wall Home where Janie grew up,  and the fun that was had there and especially the good food. Between playing in the barn and making up stories, Mr. Sam making knives or the good food Mrs. Martha Claire was preparing in the kitchen.

It seems there was always something special going on at the Wall home...which made it the perfect location for Hannah's wedding reception.

There was something so fitting about the little boys rounding up a game of baseball in their Sunday best amongst the Magnolias as the reception went on.

The bride and groom left in style,

and it was the perfect ending to a perfectly southern wedding celebration.

Wishing you many blessings as you start this new journey together!

Wedding Date

Yes, we are still out there in this blogging world. We have been on the go this past week...wedding, beach, family time, visiting with friends. So we have some catching up to do on the blog!

Last weekend we had the pleasure of attending Robert Lang's wedding in Prattville.

When someone asked how we knew Robert, I had to really think about it because it seemed that we had just always known him while at Auburn. We actually met Robert during our first Auburn game freshman year. He was sitting with a mutual friend from Selma and we got to know him. We got to be good friends that year and he and David were roommates sophomore year of college. Robert is the kind of friend that would do anything for you, anytime. He is a truly good guy. We couldn't be happier for him to have found his bride!

The reception was beautiful. Perfect evening looking out from the RSA plaza terrace in Montgomery.

Here Robert is dancing with his mom. Is it sad that while watching this I thought that one day this may very well be me and Owen? Did I mention that the 6 hours we were away from Owen this night...was the longest I have been away from my baby since he was born...couldn't help but think about my little guy.

loved his cake with chocolate covered strawberries decorated to look like footballs

Congrats Robert and Ashley! We wish you both a lifetime of happiness together and many blessings in your marriage! David and I enjoyed our date night to your lovely wedding!

Erin and Adam's wedding

This past weekend we traveled to Jasper, Alabama to see some good friends get married. Erin was an absolutely beautiful bride! Erin and I were ADPis at Auburn together and Adam, the groom, was in Farmhouse with David.

(Emily Taylor Acton, Katie Traylor, Lauren Sims, me, Henley Groves McKnight, Krisha Yanko, Laura Self)

These sweet girls were also in attendance. Some of them I unfortunately haven't seen in quite a while...so it was great to see everyone and catch up! We all went to school at Auburn together, and we have all had a lot going on since then...weddings, moving away, traveling around the world (Lauren) and a baby on the way!

Baby Owen even got a lot of attention : )
