Saturday we attended the 32nd Annual College Station Egg Hunt at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum.
The egg hunt has been around and hosted by the police department since 1982.
The children are given these commemorative wooden eggs in their goody bags.
There are great games for young children to play before the egg hunt begins. We got there early, which was great. We beat the long lines for goody bags, games, and popcorn!
This was a large event. The hunt was broken up into age groups.
And this was the 0-3 age field…lots of people.
Before the egg hunt could begin, the fire department brought in the Easter Bunnies.
I think Owen was more excited to see the firetruck than the Easter bunny. He waved and waved to them.
And this little one slept through it all.
The eggs were not really "hidden".
While we waited, Owen found this good luck charm.
And then finally, it was go time! And it went fast. It was the craziest and shortest egg hunt I have ever been part of.
Owen and I got on in there and he was able to pick up about 8 eggs.
Sweet boys.
And as luck would have it, Brittany is friends with the fireman that rode in with the Easter bunny. So we were able to meet him as well.
It was a fun time with friends. I think we can all check that one off of our Texas bucket list. Next year we will probably opt for our own hunt, but it will definitely be an egg hunt to remember.
Our boys have changed so much even in the past few months. They had so much fun playing together this trip and are really growing up. They truly are buddies.
