October

Since we are about to embark on 2016, I better get us caught up on the rest of 2015. I have said it before, but life with 3 little children was a big shift for me. It was a bigger change for me going from 2 kids to 3 than it was from 1 to 2. With 3, I feel like I can barely keep my head above water most days. But I love my life. Even on the hardest days, I love this season of life with David and these 3 boys. I would not want to be doing anything else. It's hard work. God is definitely using these 3 little boys to teach me about grace and patience. Our home is loud and active...but those are also gifts of healthy thriving children.

Reid, you are the sweetest baby. I think I look at you a little differently because you are my baby and I have a big boy and a toddler that were my babies not long ago. They remind me to treasure this sweet baby phase. I love to snuggle you and rock you and touch your soft skin. You are so much fun at bath time. You think Owen is the funniest thing ever and you and Collin are going to be buddies. He likes to ask to "hold" you. There is no rush for you to grow up. I am going to keep you my baby as long as I can little one. And that may be difficult because you are growing like a weed. At your 4 month appointment you were 21 pounds and 26 1/2 inches long.

fun this fall

Reid is just the cutest with that one little dimple on his right cheek. He melts us all.

He is just such an easy going happy baby. As long as he is fed, he is happy. And sweet boy seems to be getting plenty of milk. Nursing is just like second nature by the third time around. You don't think anything about it. I am always happy to sit down and give that time to him. I am grateful for it.

We have never had a baby take a pacifier as much as Reid has. But it seems to be working for him.

Reid and Cas got together to watch some Auburn football.

We enjoyed Caroline coming down to play with us in Fairhope!

Captain America and Spiderman have been guarding the backyard.

And we have had so much fun with our neighbors!

first Auburn game

We took Owen and Reid their first Auburn game at the beginning of October. It was Homecoming for Auburn and we were able to meet up with some dear friends and Caroline who is a Junior this year.

We took the kids to Tiger Walk

Owen and Elizabeth who are both 5

We visited with the Bobos and then ran into Steven inside the stadium!

We had a good time and even made it until halftime!

Sweet Baby Reid slept through most of his first Auburn experience.

Reid 2 months old

One of my favorite things about living in Fairhope, is living in the neighborhood that we live in.
We have quickly become friends with several families and it is normal to find the streets full of children, toys and strollers in the afternoon.

Reid had his 2 month old check up at Daddy's office.

Nurse Mary took extra good care of Reid. Little man is a big baby. He weighed 16.7 pounds and ended up in the 99th and 100th percentile for weight and height.

We took our first trip to Jackson with Reid. I can only imagine what these guys will get into as they grow up!

here and there

Reid, you went on his first beach trip to Destin. You never saw the sand or water but we enjoyed taking you.

First Sunday at church

sweet sweet snuggles with Mama

What Collin really thinks of you. You will have fun together one day. Right now it's a learning process ; )

Not giving up

There has been a long pause on the blog. Needless to say life is full right now. My days are so full of these little boys. They have so many needs right now and for the most part it is my job to fill those needs. Life with a 5 year old 21 month old and 2 month old is wild. But there are sweet moments that I want to capture, bottle up and savor. Because I know I won't ever get them back again.

I went to a MOPS meeting last month and enjoyed it. Hoping to go to more and meet some other moms. But they talked about how as moms you have to find what rests you and fulfills you so that you can serve your family. Whether that might be crafting, sewing, writing, baking...sometimes God speaks to us in those places. For me I really think that is writing on my little blog. It's where I process and where God makes things clear to me often.

So I don't know what and how long I will keep this up...but I don't think I am ready to give it up right now.

Owen's bug birthday

Owen is in a bug loving phase right now. He loves looking for bugs outside, trying to catch them and then letting them go. He enjoys reading about them and it is amazing how much he knows about all types of insects! So we thought a bug theme would be a perfect way to celebrate his 5th birthday!

A local lady in Fairhope made the amazing cake. We served chicken salad chick, fruit, pimento cheese sandwiches, peanut butter and jelly, chips and dip and gummy worms.

Grandmama came to visit and have some birthday cake later that afternoon

A fun birthday celebration for our five year old! Grateful to have family to be able to come and be part of his special day.
