Nana and Papa and cousins

We had fun at Nana and Papa's too over Christmas. These two are so cute together.

Ben even put his special touch on Christmas dinner.

Papa and Nana got some snuggles in.

And Owen had a great time with his cousins. The day before we left we met at McDonalds for the kids to play and eat breakfast together. Owen insisted on taking a picture with all of his family so he wouldn't forget them in Texas. Love this sweet boy and his heart.

Johnson family time

We were also able to enjoy some really special time with the Johnson family while we were home.

Everyone was able to come home and be together and celebrate 2 new baby boys.

(holding Baby Jake)

These cousins are getting bigger by the day.

We even put Uncle Ben on baby duty and he did a great job rocking this little one on the front porch.

Nothing beats a swing, a rocking chair and children playing happily outside on a Sunday afternoon.

Uncle Brian jumped right in with the kiddos. They loved playing Mr. McGregor's garden with him.

They were the little rabbits and he was Mr. McGregor trying to keep them out of his garden before turning them into a pot of stew!

While the big kids enjoyed the rocks and mud puddles, these baby boys were happy to enjoy some play time of their own.

With birthdays only 2 and a half weeks apart, these boys may turn out to be big buddies.

I know Nana and Papa are so proud of their two newest grandsons.

And Aunt Nell seemed smitten with her two newest nephews.

That is just the beginning of our week at home, more pictures to come!

Nana and Papa meet Collin

This past weekend Nana and Papa made the trip to Texas to meet Collin.

Nana couldn't wait to get her hands on her new grandson.

Papa's lap was big enough for both of our boys.

Nana cooked us up some great comfort food.

Sweet baby is 5 weeks old in these pictures.

Owen had a great time at the park with them and found a fire pole to slide down.

And Nana even went home with her very own pair of cowboy boots.

Thank you Nana and Papa for making the drive to meet our sweet baby and see your Texas boys.

Christmas with Nana and Papa

Nana and Papa came to visit us this past weekend and have an early Christmas with us.

From the moment they stepped inside, Owen was ready to celebrate Christmas and unwrap gifts.

Nana and Papa were more than generous and brought this little guy lots of goodies. He loved his police outfit and barely took it off all day. He and Papa had lots of bad guys to catch.

We couldn't let them make a visit to Texas without some authentic Texas barbecue.

We may have even turned Papa into a brisket eater.

The weather was crazy cold this weekend. But we kept warm watching some AUsome Auburn football and kept the firewood burning most of the weekend. We really appreciate them driving all the way to see us in the freezing weather and spending some time with us. Next time they see us, we will probably have a new addition!

fire fighting

While we were home Owen had the opportunity to practice his fire fighting skills with his Papa.

Papa is a volunteer fireman in their community.

They both decked out from head to toe in their turnout gear and got right to work practicing putting out fires.

Owen could not have been happier, and I have a hunch the feeling was mutual.

Nana and Papa visit

Nana and Papa drove all the way to Waco this past weekend to visit with us.
We were so excited for them to come and and just enjoy being together for a little while.

We took them to Baylor's campus to meet the Baylor Bears.

We had a great dinner at George's Saturday night.

And finished off the visit with a bike ride/ walk around our neighborhood Sunday night.

I think we all just enjoyed the simplicity of being together and living life together for the weekend.

Owen was sad to see them leave, but he is already looking forward to a fishing trip to Papa's pond in September.

while in greenville

We spent some happy times at Gammy's house playing, cooking, eating, talking, reading

and laughing. Happy times.

Papa paid attention to every new thing Owen was doing these days

and might have even built a lego or two.

Meme did it all and was such a big help with all the traveling we did. Owen loves him so Meme.

We had a visit from Elizabeth, Charlie and Kira.

and are excited to meet their newest edition in September.

We attended lead out of Caroline's Senior prom

and had a very special visit from David's grandmother, Nanny.
