Nanny

Nanny was promoted to heaven this past Monday, November 18, 2013. She was 88 years old. Marion Fondren Striger Tarver was born in Jackson, Mississippi to the late Mr. Robert Mason Striger and the late Mrs. Margaret Fondren Striger. She was a third grade school teacher. She is pictured below with her twin sister Margaret La Rue.

Nanny is Ms. Peggy's mother. She also has two other children, Anne and Dow.

Nanny was always so kind to me in the times I spent with her. She was always eager to talk and hear what was going on in our lives. She was so proud of David and his work and accomplishments. 

I think the picture below is very special. This was taken the last time we were able to spend some time with her this past May while we were in Alabama. I see a woman who was very proud of her family. I know she loved each and every one and was proud of each. She had 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren who each held a special place in her heart.
