chili cookoff

Sunday night our church hosted the annual chili cookoff to raise awareness and funds for different missions. 

Our life group was excited to support some of our very own as they are about to embark on a new chapter in Haiti. 

We have known Hannah and Charles for a little over a year and it has been so much fun getting to know them and learn from them. They served in Bolivia a few years ago and will be moving to Haiti at the beginning of February. 

Our theme was farm to table...which is essentially what they will be teaching Haitians when they move. 

Charles will join their staff to oversee the agricultural improvements for the existing environment. Some of the things he will be responsible for are small-scale farming projects and educating the farmers on ways to increase productivity and expand available land through innovative irrigation systems and natural fertilization. We really hate that we are going to have to tell them goodbye in a couple of months but know God has big things in store. Looking forward to seeing what God has planned.
