Owen's Baby Dedication

We celebrated our own little blessing Sunday at church. Owen along with fifteen other sweet little ones participated in baby dedication at Willowbrook. It was such a special day to be with family and remember what a true gift and honor it is to have child from the Lord.

Behold, children are a gift of the Lord. Psalm 127:3

What a gift and challenge it is to be given a child from the Lord. To teach him about the Bible, to be examples in how to act and how to speak, to show love and patience to others...these are all principles we hope to instill in Owen. We know we can not do this alone and rely on God to show us how and give us the words and actions to teach and guide our little man. Our greatest desire and prayer is that Owen will come to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

After church our family gathered at our home for lunch. It was special to have everyone there together and fellowship over a meal.

The Lord blessed us with a beautiful day and we are all able to enjoy the sunshine and perfect weather.

My dad and Jenny made the trip. Jenny brought Owen a precious little bunny as a gift and remembrance of this special day.

Meme was there. She gave Owen his white outfit that he wore for baby dedication.

We were so happy to have Uncle Brian join us for this special day as well!

These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
