Good Friday

Today is Good Friday which commemorates the passion and death of Jesus on the cross.

Reading for today: Mark 15:1-37

We placed a black material on the cross to represent the darkness brought to the world by sin. It also symbolizes death, not only the death of Jesus, but the death of the whole world under the burden of sin. In this sense, it also represents hopelessness and the endings that come as human beings try to make their own way in the world without God.

How thankful and blessed we are that Jesus died on the cross for our sins!!

  1. I absolutely love the cross in your yard. What a great reminder of why we're celebrating Easter! I think I may copy that when I have a big girl house someday :)
