But you know what, when it all comes down to it I am thankful for that messy kitchen, the food we had to eat, the clothes we have to wear, someone to eat dinner with...it is worth washing all of those dishes to enjoy the simple pleasures of real life.
My baby may not sleep through the night or always go straight to sleep when he goes down for the night...but I am going to soak up every bit of the baby boy while I can....
Yes Meme, those are the 12 month pajamas you sent him! He is growing like a weed!
Owen and I are off for a road trip to the big city of Atlanta tomorrow to hang out with some dear friends! It has been too long. Excited to see you friends!! and excited to have lots of babysitters : )
Best blog post ever!!! Is it strange that it made me feel warm and fuzzy inside? In your kitchen picture there is a cake stand drying...that means you made a cake. There is Bisquick on the counter....that means you made your yummy sour cream biscuits. Those dirty dishes just mean that there were lots of happy people! Thank you for posting about reality! You are wonderful! Enjoy your time with the girls in the big city. We will miss you and Baby Owen!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Brittany!! Such a nice post about REAL LIFE!!! Thanks for sharing!!! I should take pics of the closets where I HIDE everything!!! heehee!!! Or better yet...take pics of the dirty floor that ya'll "think" is always soooo clean :)
ReplyDeleteHave so much fun...looking forward to the girls post when you get back!
Oh my! I thought those pjs where huge when I got them......and some of those "real days" are the ones that stay happily in your memory forever. Can't wait to see how Owen has grown.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I absolutely LOVED this post! I love to see the real side of people...past all the posed pictures and the "see, look how pretty and clean my house is!". You're right, this is real life...and it's pretty fabulous!
