Atlanta Trip

This past weekend Owen and I headed off on a road trip to the big city of Atlanta. On the way there we stopped at Chalkville Elementary to see some friends that I used to work with. I was so happy they finally got to meet Owen. They had watched me grow when I was pregnant with him, showered us with goodies, and have been following his little life on our blog...so it was great for them to finally get their hands on him. It was so good to see each of you again!

After our stop in Birmingham, we hit the road again and made it to Atlanta. Henley was so sweet to host us at her home.  She even brought in an exersaucer for Owen to play with. Owen had plenty of pretty ladies to snuggle with and entertain him. Several of the girls I went to college with at Auburn and were ADPi's together were able to come up for the weekend to hang out, catch up and just enjoy being together.

Friday night we enjoyed just hanging out at Henley's. Abby made this delicious savory cheesecake (above) as an appetizer...it was delicious and so pretty too! Henley made us pizza... accommodating everyone's taste.

Saturday we took off on a walk around the neighborhood....sounds sweet right? Well, this Mama clearly needs to get in shape! 3.3 miles later we returned home. It was a beautiful day to be outside and really enjoyed our talks as we walked...and you know Owen enjoyed the stroll!
