Let me share something sweet with you...no, not the chocolates...I do not like to share chocolates : ) My sweet mama sent these in the mail to me! They were such a surprise. We had seen an article a couple of months ago in Southern Living about these salted caramels and I commented how good I thought they would be...and she took that subtle comment and found this wonderful little shop in Asheville, NC called French Broad Chocolates and had them sent to me! How thoughtful is that, I love my Mama and I love her heart.

The sweetest little blue boxes wrapped with brown grosgrain ribbon

Let me help you out...you know you want to know what is the inside of these little treasures. The box on the left has salted honey caramels- housemade with local wildflower honey, lightly salted. flavors: dark chocolate with sea salt, dark with orange cardamon or milk chocolate cashew.


Box on the right is the Signature Collection:
Maple-maple syrup, sweet butter and a blend of dark and milk chocolates, covered with milk chocolate, sprinkled with smoked seat salt.
Lavender and honey- local lavender and wildflower honey with Peruvian dark chocolate and a milk chocolate (with lavender on top)
cafe au lait- varietal coffee in a blend of dark and milk chocolates (with chocolate coffee bean on top)
vanilla bourbon - ( I did share this one with David and he LOVED it) Knob Creek bourbon and whole vanilla bean with pecan piece on top
hazelnut- milk chocolate, hazelnut butter and caramelized hazelnut, covered with dark chocolate with hazelnut pieces
fresh raspberry- (this will probably be my favorite, saving it for Valentine's Day)55% cacao chocolate and puree of local red raspberries with powdered raspberry

I realize that was a very detailed description of chocolate...but they really are just that good that you can taste all of those amazing layers of flavor!
