third trimester

Well somehow we have already reached the third trimester. I am 28 weeks right now. It boggles my mind to think we will have another person living in our home in about 2 and a half months. And I feel like those months will probably pass quickly this time of year when there are so many holiday activities going on. We seem to be busy but we talk about this sweet baby everyday. Owen has asked since the beginning, "Is your baby ready to come out?" He leans, hugs and talks to his brother everyday. His face lights up when he feels him move. I can't wait to see these 2 brothers together.

We were up at the clinic this past week and just popped in for a quick ultrasound. The baby is healthy. They estimated he weighs about 2 pounds 11 ounces right now, putting him in about the 50th percentile for weight right now...again, that is all just estimation. He is in a breech position, so I am praying that he repositions into a head down position in the next few weeks and decides to stay that way ; ) Prayers appreciated for this. David tells me there is plenty of time for him to move. He has been so active lately, I can really feel him flipping all around.

We went ahead and got alot of the baby things out of the attic. His bed is set up and I went ahead and washed a few loads of baby clothes and blankets. It is fun to walk by his room and think about it as his room now and not the guest bedroom. We are using mostly things from Owen's nursery but will hopefully add a few new pieces and art to make it his own. Speaking of him, he does have a name. We have chosen Collin Riley Johnson. We will call him Collin, and actually Owen has called him this for quite some time now.

David and both like the name Collin, and the name Riley comes from a dear cousin of mine. He is Gammy's cousin and has been an active member of my life for as long as I can remember. Riley is such an interesting man. He is an incredible writer and artist. He has a generous heart and soul and we are happy to be using his name as part of Collin's name.

We continue to pray for Collin. That God will continue to help him grow and he will be a healthy, strong boy. I pray for his and Owen's friendship and that both my boys will be believers at a young age.
