Tuesday night we headed out to the Heart O' Texas fair and rodeo in town.
After getting our fix of fair food (brisket nachos and a burger) we headed into the rodeo.
This was Owen's first rodeo and he took in all the sights.
and even had his first taste of cotton candy.
We watched the cowboys rope some calves.
And even a few kiddos compete in mutton busting. These kids (some 4 years old) try to hold on as the sheep races across the arena with them on their back.
Over my dead body will my boys be competing in this, although David thought it was a lovely idea.
We sat and watched until Owen was ready to go and headed out for a walk around the fair grounds where I got a couple of shots of my big boys that I love.
Then, you know what we found?...a firetruck!
That is the reason for the big grin on this guy's face. He is sitting up in the firetruck in this picture. No rides for us this year, he was happy to just go and visit the fire truck and ambulance.
After that, we headed back in to feed some of the animals in the petting zoo.
Fun night at the fair.

Wow, what more could a little guy want. Animals, bucking broncos, cotton candy AND a firetruck to visit. Looked like a fun night!
