joy in the everyday

Sorry for the absence from the blog. There is so much going on with everyone right now. Sometimes my heart just wants to be still and quiet. I don't have words. Our hearts ache for the families that lost loved ones in Newtown. We live in a broken world...that is truth. I find comfort in knowing that this is not our home, this is not eternity. God is sovereign and He is good. He continues to bless us. We must choose to see the joy.

These are such simple things but they are pieces of joy found in our everyday...

Daddy gets home from work:

This week Teddy Bear came alive to in Owen's eyes. He pulled him out of his bed and insisted he needed to wear pants too. He played tractors, then suddenly Owen ran to me with bear, "Bear go potty!" Apparently bear is potty training...who knew? Bear, also earned lots of praise from Owen and of course needed a treat. Who do you think ate it though?

Our sweet neighbors Paul and Haley who have a special place in their heart for Owen...generously gave him this train set this week.

There is good in this world just as there is evil. But God is ever present.

Wishing peace, love and joy this Christmas season.
