Christmas Day

Santa was sure to find Owen even though we were at Meme's house this year.
Owen awoke to find a Spiderman tent, a book about Santa's reindeer, some new wooden trains and the one thing Owen asked for...a crane truck.

He is really into construction, so this A to Z construction book was a hit.

We wanted Dock to always have a little piece of Waco with him...so a Waco Tshirt was a must.

Meme found a great crane to go with his train set.

We went to Gammy's for lunch and Owen got to open one of his gifts while we waited on everything to get ready.

He loved this construction site, complete with a crane, forklift and bulldozer.

Caroline and I always take a picture in front of Gammy and Papa's tree. Hard to believe she will be headed to college this next fall!

Owen made these hand ornaments for some of the special people in his life this year.

We always have the best time at Gammy's. Gammy is always filled with such joy. She loves her family greatly and she really is such a blessing to each of us.

John and Annette surprised Meme with a lemon tree!

She was SO excited. Annette is a great gift giver and always find just the right gift for everyone.

We were so glad Riley was able to come up too.

We also had a special treat of hearing Caroline sing while Matt played the piano. Owen was captivated. Caroline had the most beautiful voice and Matt is so talented as well.

David and I were talking later after Christmas. We both agreed this was one of the most peaceful Christmases we can remember. No one was in a hurry. We had no place to rush to be. We were in one place and content. Believe it or not Owen never napped the entire day, but somehow he was so good. We sat on Gammy's porch and played a complete game of canasta...so much fun. There may have been tornado sirens going off in the background that night...but that is not what I will remember. I will remember a Christmas full of peace and family to share it with.
