Counting Down

We only have 12 more days as Birmingham residents! Crazy...we are trying to finish up packing before the big move in 2 weeks. As one of our last weekends in Birmingham, we tried to squeeze in some of our favorite restaurants before leaving the magic city.

On Saturday we did a little baby shopping and visited Salem's Diner for lunch in Homewood. If you have not been here, you are missing out. They officially make the best Philly Cheesesteak:

As if that was not enough we then went to Fleming's for dinner that night to celebrate David passing his boards! Excellent steaks and chocolate lava cake to die for. You must try the chocolate lava cake...it will not disappoint. We have been known to go just for dessert!

To top the whole weekend off, as we had not consumed enough calories : ) we had brunch at the Original Pancake House in Five Points. Great breakfast food

The rest of our time was spent packing which is never fun, but was made even less fun by the air conditioner going out, but God provided us with rain and cooler temps which was a blessing. Hopefully it should be fixed tomorrow!
