The five weeks without David were definitely not the easiest. We tried to stay busy.
We did a lot of strolling.
We played dress up.
Collin kept the grass cut...even at 6 in the morning.
After a couple of rough days, I got some beautiful flowers delivered to brighten my spirits.
We got to meet baby Cas, the son of one of my oldest friends, Bo.
Collin played hard and slept hard.
David came home one weekend to visit and we soaked up as much fun time in Fairhope as we could. We were all super sad for him to go back.
So we did what anyone would naturally do and packed up and went to visit with family in Greenville. They all loved us well.
Papa talked to Owen about geodes and other fossils.
Collin rode the turtle
porch swinging with Gammy
Blueberry picking with Granddaddy.
A few new sweet outfits for baby Reid.
Collin turned into a snuggler, this was a new thing. But I soaked every bit of it up.
Piano lessons from Gammy
Cake baking with Caroline
We celebrated Father's Day in Greenville.
And counted down the days until our little family would all be under one roof again!
