I desperately wanted to see David graduate residency. I have been here the whole road. High school, to Auburn, to medical school through residency in Texas. It's a long road. I wanted to see him finish. With the approval of my doctor, my old doctor and my husband, everyone agreed it would be fine for me to fly to Texas for graduation. David picked me up from the airport in Dallas and we had a night to celebrate this journey and the David's huge achievement.
We had an amazing dinner at Hibiscus.
Finishing it with green tomato cobbler with blackberry ice-cream and Texas honeycomb.
We stayed at the very cool Hotel Zaza.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time together. It was a much needed and appreciated vacation. Time to reconnect and reflect. Loved every second of it!
