Daie visits

Friday we had the pleasure of David's cousin Daie visiting us here in Waco. She is working in Texas for a few months, so we were excited to be able to connect while she is here.

We wanted to show her some of our favorite parts of Waco, so Saturday we hit up our local farmer's market.

With coffee in hand, we were ready to see what the market had to offer that morning.

Daie and I opted for crepes for breakfast.

I am definitely going to be going back for the Brie and Apple again.

I always enjoy the music in the background, kids running around and dancing while we munch of breakfast.

Owen was pretty excited about the carrots, although he decided what he really needed was a cookie.

We talked Daie into some Texas honey and a cheese purchase.

Then we did something new, we went and found the Starry Night mural downtown Waco.

Next we headed to Cameron Park to let Owen get some energy out and Collin get some cuddle time with Daie.

After a trip to Vitek's for gut pack (that you can only get in Waco) we were back to a relaxing afternoon at home. Sweet Daie was so thoughtful. She brought each of us a little special gift, perfect for each one of us. She nailed it on the head with Ninja Turtle pjs for Owen and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle book with little action figures included. You can see in the previous pics that Owen was so excited that he wore his pajama shirt all day.

I think the visit did all of our souls good. There is just something so soothing about familiarity when you are in an unfamiliar place, and nothing better than family to fill that void.

Thank you Daie, for making the drive to Waco. We loved every minute with you. We were blessed with good conversations, good food and fun. My boys adore you. We hope we get to see you again soon.
