Veterans

So it is no secret that we love a parade. So when we found out Waco celebrates our veterans with a parade, we just had to go! We called up some friends Monday morning and we all headed down to Austin Avenue.

It was a chilly morning, but we found a good spot in the sunshine.

There were several high school bands.

This was our crew...

I am so glad Owen has these little guys in his life, it is going to be fun watching them grow up together during residency.

This just so happened to be Ryker's first parade.

I think both he and his mama enjoyed it.

Sweet Finn had a great time dancing to the music of the local bands that marched by.

And Owen, well...he was stashing his candy in the red wagon. 

He has gotten the hang of this collecting candy thing.

It was a great spontaneous morning with our new friends.

Ryker even thanked one of the veterans for his service to our country.  

We are so grateful to those who serve and have served this great country we live in.

They along with their families make such great sacrifices so we can live a normal day to day life that we often take for granted.  We are blessed beyond belief.
