Granddaddy visits

We have had so much fun around here the past few days. We picked up Grandaddy from the airport Saturday (in the messy weather). His plane tried to land once and then had to go back to Dallas because they could not make the landing. So we were so thankful when he landed safely here in Waco!

It was perfect timing. He came when Mama was reaching burn out, Daddy the doctor was reaching exhaustion and Owen...well, he was raring to to go! 

We had fun celebrating my birthday together and we took him to some of our favorite spots

and local restaurants like The Mix, Cafe Cappuccino, George's, and Schmaltz's. 

Grandaddy wanted to be sure Cooper was not left out of the fun, so we even found a great spot to take Cooper to swim on Lake Waco.

 I am not sure who had more fun at the lake...Owen or Coop?

 It took all I could do to keep Owen from going swimming too...but we did find some treasures like rocks and acorns.

 Owen made his Great-Grandmama a card to be hand delivered. 

And the visit would not be complete without a trip to the zoo.

Somehow, no matter how many times we go...there is always something new going on.

 Owen walked all over the zoo grounds, he is such a big boy now.

We are so glad we got to spend this time with Grandaddy. We are already plotting our next visit.
