Today was a first...church service at a water park. Yes, you heard me correct.
Today was Community Day at Harris Creek Baptist Church, where we having been going. It was such a fun experience. We had "church" just as it would have been in the sanctuary but our backdrop just happened to be water slides. We sang worship songs and the pastor delivered a powerful message.
He spoke of how we are called to take care of the needs of those less fortunate and our call to reach out to those struggling in our community. He reminded us of how you see throughout the Bible of those who you least expect or least qualified doing great things for God's glory. Each one of us is born a sinner and without God's grace have nothing.
I feel God is going to do great things through this church and we are blessed to have found a church that inspires and motivates us to do the will of God.
We are looking forward to getting plugged in more and more as the fall unfolds.
We met some new people today and just enjoyed the blessing of family.
One that is truly such a gift and should never be taken for granted.
