a visit with friends

Thursday afternoon Owen and I headed down to Bryan, Tx to visit with the Ashleys.

Our day kinda got off to a rough start with Owen hurting his arm.

We weren't exactly sure about his injury, but luckily Dr. Ty popped it back in place with such ease, and I instantly had a new pain-free child...perks to having friends who are doctors. 

After that we were set for a fun-filled visit where these little boys could simply be little boys.

 Timing was perfect. David and Ty both were working that night so Brittany and I got the opportunity to do what we do best...solve all the world's problems staying up way past our bedtimes : )

The next morning we enjoyed coffee together and watching our babies swing.

Ok, so they aren't babies anymore...probably will be the last time in the swing together.

But these little boys sure know how to have fun. 

 And they will always be our babies. In fact in Sam's words...he will be his mama's baby until he is 89. So there you have it.

Our visits are good for our souls. They are the only "family" we have in driving distance, so we really value this time together.
