Barge Party

We did manage to squeeze in some fun last week.  

One of the board members of Hillcrest Hospital, was kind enough to invite us on his boat for the afternoon.

We cruised around Lake Waco and some including Dr. Hardin, the program director, even enjoyed taking a dip on a hot summer day.

We had the chance to get to know one another better. I am lucky to be surrounded by a great group of doctors' wives.

And just when we thought everything was safe...that's when the pirates showed up!

You never know when a group of upper level residents  pirates are going to show up and hijack your boat.

Swim aboard and devour your barbecue dinner.

 The lead pirate, Jim Bob, might have been the one to devise such a scheme...

He did look a little conspicuous with his one earring and newly tattooed arm. Somehow these pirates made it aboard

and a good time was had by all.

Some of the party enjoyed going out on the boat to wake board and ski 

and even a little tubing...(yes, poor Henry is underneath David hanging on for his life)

David is so proud to be part of this group and they truly are an extraordinary group of people.
