3 months
Owen is three months old today! He is not an itty-bitty baby anymore. He weighs 14 pounds now. He is alert, he makes lots of sounds, smiles and laughs at people. He loves to stand on his feet and look around. He likes to play with some toys now and can grab objects and hold them. His favorite toys are a ball that he can easily grasp, his crackily elephant, his silver rattle, and Sophie. He also likes a little music box toy that plays songs and lights up...great fun at night. When he sits in his bouncy seat, he can reach out and swat the toys and grab them. He also enjoys his play mat much more now being able to grab those toys. He has rolled over several times this past week from his back to his belly. He eats so much quicker now. I remember when he was first born and having difficulty figuring out nursing, a nurse told me that by the time he was 3 months old he would be a pro. I had a hard time comprehending that at the time, but she was right! He is also sleeping much longer at night, he does still wake up about once a night to eat, but we are getting much more rest.
He had a full day today. My friend Melissa that I got to know in graduate school at Montevallo came to meet Owen today. He loved meeting her...he just smiled and smiled. He thought she was very pretty...he is quite the ladies man : ) We went to lunch and then ran some Thanksgiving errands. Little bit even made it through the Honey-Baked Ham line! Luckily he was asleep in his stroller for that adventure, there were quite a few people purchasing a ham today. We are packing for a big week of traveling and visiting with family. When daddy gets off call tomorrow, we will be hitting the road! We have so much to be thankful for and especially a healthy sweet baby boy! These are a few pics of our cute little guy on his 3 month birthday:
