San Antonio day 2

Saturday these cool kids were ready to roll.

We started the morning at Hemisphere park.

They have a great playground there

that was perfect for Owen to release some energy.

Then we strolled near the river walk area.

The Torch of Friendship:

The sculpture was presented as a gift from the Mexican government to the city of San Antonio.

Next, we strolled to the Alamo. Now Collin can say he has been to the Alamo, although I think he slept through this part of the trip.

Love this man, he is my favorite. It's just fun to experience life with him. He keeps me laughing and smiling and is such a good daddy.

Even Leo made the trip to the Alamo. Owen insists on bringing Legos with him everywhere he goes. You would think he would lose them, but he keeps up with them like a champ. He is currently attached the Ninja Turtle ones. Leo being the favorite was in tow for our touring of San Antonio.

For lunch we stopped in at the Buckhorn Cafe.

And Owen even made friends with a few cowboys.

Super stud dad right here.

For dinner we tried a new spot called the Cove.

It is attached to a car wash and laundromat.

They pride themselves on their food being sustainable. organic and local.

We read reviews that raved about their fish tacos and great burgers.

Over fifty beers on tap in their beer garden.

There was so many people there, granted we went on a Saturday night. There were 3 birthday parties and people everywhere. Owen attempting a game of ping pong.

David had the blue bison burger and sweet potato fries.

And I opted for the fish and shrimp tacos, spinach salad and hibiscus tea.

And Owen had strawberry ice-cream for dinner…parents of the year here.

They had a playground in the middle of the the place.

And their own garden where they grow some of their own food.

This little one had plenty to take in and watch while we ate. He was such a great traveler on the trip and  just goes with the flow. I think we will keep him ; )
