San Antonio

This past weekend we met up with Granddaddy in San Antonio for a little vacation.

We hung out in Hemisphere Park, ate lunch on the river walk, celebrated Grandaddy's birthday, took a riverboat ride and of course saw the Alamo.

We did a little shopping at the market where Owen fell hard for a guitar and Granddaddy could not say no to his favorite grandson.

We dined at Boudro's on the river walk, Schilo's Deli, Rosario's and Granddaddy encouraged David and I to go out for a date one night. We chose to go to Biga on the Banks.

It was such a fun meal. We started with a warm spinach salad with brie, apple smoked bacon, trumpet royal mushrooms, spiced pecans, gaufrettes, granny smith apples and a sherry garlic vinaigrette.

I had the seared Red Snapper with saffron linguini, roasted zucchini, kale and lobster marinara.

David had the smoked pork tenderloin, black pepper spaetzel with bacon and trumpet mushrooms, juniper braised cabbage, Reisling apple sauce and maple sour cream.

While we were enjoying our date night, Owen and Granddaddy were having just as much fun at Rainforest Cafe where Owen walked away with a spiderman balloon animal...pretty cool.

The other big part of our trip was Sea World...that post next.
