He tells me, "Mama, your my best friend."
And as good best friends do, I made my favorite firefighter a water hose to fight his fires...because as I can attest to, there are alot of fires around here.
Our little firefighter is also very independent. "I'll do it all by myself," is a phrase I hear all day long. Hence the underwear over his pajamas and backwards no less.
He has done really better than we expected in his big boy bed. He really likes it and goes to sleep every night by himself...it usually takes him a while but he is content.
Now that is not to say, that he doesn't wander in our room around 3:30 am some mornings.
He is getting so big.
He will be 3 in just 6 more months, I don't know how that is possible and it makes me kinda sad.
He scoots around the house in his firetruck cozy coup, and says "Bye, Bye Mama! I'll see you when the sun comes up. I go fight fires. Hurry, hurry!"
I just don't think Mama is ready to let her little firefighter go.

All of us here in Alabama love your updates. And we love watching Owen grow and learn.
ReplyDeleteHe was SO cute last night on Facetime demonstrating his firefighting skills!! He might really be a fireman after all. It was good to see him so excited to see us, like we were really there in the room! Love and miss him!! Thank you God for Facetime!
