a Christmas prayer

We are enjoying the Christmas season at our house. This little guy makes everything more fun!

Our Little People Nativity is quite a hit at our house. He can say "Jeesjees" (Jesus) which melts our heart. He does a little dance when it sings "Away in a Manger".

This time of year is such a special time that we celebrate Jesus's birthday. I love the time together with family, the laughter, the good food, the Christmas music, the joy that is shared, giving gifts out of love.

Sometimes, with all the hustle and bustle, trying to cram everything in, we forget to be still and remember the reason for the season. It is Christ's birthday! We celebrate because of Him.

We say a blessing a Christmas dinner, but do we talk about what we are really celebrating with all the family members we are with? Sadly, not always.

Do we live every day with a heavenly perspective? Not quite.

This year, I am trying to be more conscious of what is important at Christmas.

I want everyone I love to have the ultimate gift. One that can not be wrapped in pretty paper and tied with a bow. The gift that comes as Jesus being your Savior. The grace and peace that comes from a daily relationship with him. He is the answer to that hole in your life...that can only be filled by Him.

...that is my Christmas prayer.
