Junior Maid

Last weekend we headed home for some time with family and some homecoming festivities.

Friday afternoon we took Owen to his first pep rally. He liked the music and then got pretty restless.

I found that most of the cheers had not changed nor had many of the traditions.

Fort Dale has a tradition that the first graders are "shadowed" by the football players, cheerleaders, majorettes, and dancers. Which made me reminiscent of my shadow my junior year of high school....

Now, ten years later that first grader was representing her class as junior maid of the homecoming court.

I know her mom and dad are proud.

Not just because of the homecoming honor, but for the beautiful, caring, considerate, kind daughter that is growing up before our eyes.

Now, before we get too teary eyed...onto the dance! Because everyone knows that is the best part of homecoming.

Caroline is beautiful, even if she is my cousin. 

Somehow I don't think David and I ever looked that good : )
