Yes, I said night(s) plural. This is not a common thing for us, but while we had Meme and the great-grands willing...we took advantage of a little time to ourselves.
We were so excited to be able to go out on a date (just the two of us) one night. No making sure Owen was eating enough or wiping sticky fingers. We actually got to enjoy a meal and have conversation! It was wonderful and much needed!
At the recommendation of Amy and Trey, we had dinner at Caliza in Alys Beach. The setting was beautiful. Our table was a cozy booth to the right and our view was the pool. Very romantic.
And to the food...you know we are all about the food!
I had Black Grouper: Mediterranean olive vinaigrette, clams, haricot verts, and lemon roasted potatoes.
Delicious beyond words, scrumptios olives and the flavor was out of this world.
David had Red Snapper-shrimp and butter pea succotash with grape tomatoes, sweet corn with dill and lemon....and it melted in your mouth like BUTTER! Yum.
Dessert because we were celebrating my birthday after all, their version of strawberry shortcake:
Highly recommend this restaurant...we will definitely be back and you should go eat there!
On to date night #2: We went out with our friends Amy and Trey. They are lucky enough to live in Santa Rosa...so meeting up was a must!
We had dinner at Bud and Alley's on the rooftop bar in Seaside.
As always, great food, drinks, conversation and laughter when we get together. Love you friends!

Yay for Date Nights!!! Love your outfits Elizabeth!!
