Meme came to visit us for a few days this past weekend. Due to weather and delays in flights we couldn't get her in our possession until Thursday...but that didn't slow us down from having tons of fun.
Owen likes to paint and he had the perfect painting partner with Meme here. No surprise that he requested firetruck paintings from her.
We also decided to have a mini birthday party while she was here so she could give him his birthday present.
Such a neat fire station! They played for HOURS with this, having the ambulance and firetrucks go to many emergencies, put out fires and take people to the hospital.
When they weren't playing fire station, they were in the floor building legos. Meme was up for any and all playing...she is so good to him.
Gammy and Papa sent a great bucket of legos that let them construct all types of cool things.
The last night we stayed up looking at the Texas sky and watching for meteors and just talking about life. We saw four meteors but the best part was just that simple time together talking...I definitely don't take that for granted now.
We really didn't want to let her go home, our time always goes by so quickly. We are now counting down until a trip home to Alabama in September. Thanks for coming to play Meme, we miss you already.
I had so much fun and just want to come back to Waco and play fireman and legos. Can hardly wait till I see you all again!
