start to a new year

We started 2013 with a breakfast playdate at McDonald's with Kira and her sweet kiddos.

Elizabeth is such a sweetheart. Hate we missed a picture of Baby Charlie...but we did well to get one of these two!

After lunch we headed to Uncle John's to meet Snoopy. Snoopy is such a good dog. Great temperament and so lovable. I assured John that Snoopy could come back to Waco with us, but I think he has found his forever home in Greenville.

And guess what Mr. Owen found...a tractor! He has radar for these you know.

And my last picture to wrap up our time in Greenville is one with some of my very favorite people in the world. When a friend from Waco asked what or who I was most looking forward to seeing when we came back to Alabama...I quickly replied my grandparents, all of 4 of them.

I had some special Gammy and Papa time this trip. I snuck over on Christmas Eve to wrap presents in the wee hours..."but hey, the Pope wasn't on yet...so we're doing good," Gammy said.  I came over and looked at old pictures late one night of their time in San Antonio. Papa shared with me his collection of writings he has made over the years. Love these people and just wanted to soak in every bit I could of them. They inspire me...great way to start the New Year!
