David interviewed at 4 residency programs including Tyler, Dallas/Fort Worth, Waco and Texas A&M.
The short version of the trip is each program had its strengths and weaknesses. He did see some awesome programs that would give him the training needed to perform procedures that he would like to in his practice one day.
He also met some wonderful people including residents and faculty that he would enjoy working with.

When David wasn't answering questions in interviews, he managed to get out and see some sights and watch Texas and St. Louis play in the World Series. Unfortunately for Texas...they didn't win out, but my dad, the Cardinals fan, was pretty happy.
Everyone keeps asking us where we really think we will go for residency. We really don't know at this point. We are weighing our options, and still have more interviews in South Carolina to go, as well as the program in Huntsville. We are praying for God to show us where he wants us to be and give us peace in this decision. David has until February to make his list and we will know in March on Match Day.
So proud of my husband for taking the time to really make sure he is making the best decision for his family. Although 2 weeks is wayyyyy too long to be gone. We appreciated him driving the entire 14 hour trip home to see us! And Owen even got his very on cowboy hat out of the trip! Pretty special!
