First Trip to the Plains

We headed to the plains this past weekend to visit with friends and family and watch some football and enjoy some time soaking in the Auburn Spirit!

Aunt Jane and Uncle Luke graciously let us stay with them. We had so much fun eating at Laredos...just like old times!

Owen enjoyed his morning watching chipmunks with Uncle Luke then we headed toward campus to tailgate with our friends.

These two rekindled their baby love. Elizabeth and Owen are 3 months apart in age. Elizabeth being the older woman. I am predicting that they will be going on formal dates freshman year at Auburn.

How precious is she?

So glad I got to spend some time with this precious little girl.

We took Owen strolling around campus and showed him some of our favorite places.

We wanted Owen to see the Toomer's Oaks for his own little eyes.

Made me a bit sad to see the shape they were in, but glad we were able to see the beauty and tradition is still standing.

We had to visit the Auburn sign. We proudly took graduation pictures here and now had the opportunity to bring our baby boy back to the place where we made many memories and learned a thing or two as well.

We played in the lawn in front on Samford Hall.

My favorite part of the trip... getting to spend some time with the girl I met in Lupton Hall that later became my best friend. I am so blessed by Kira's friendship and cherish the time we spend together whether on the phone or in person. It is refreshing to talk about real life, being real mamas with a person you admire.

Back to the game...We won! Auburn-41, Mississippi -34

Owen's quote "what bulldogs?"

So we shared in the tradition of rolling Toomer's Corner

Owen even did his part

But by the end of the day, our little tigers were worn out!

So we gave some love

said our goodbyes

I love this picture. I think it captures our friendship.

The last time we were in Auburn together we were dreaming of the day we would graduate, get married and have babies. God is good and he provides. What fun it was sharing Owen's first trip to the plains with my best friend and her baby girl. War Eagle friend!!
