Today was my first Mother's Day! Being Owen's mom is truly the best thing that has ever happened to me. It is such a learning process and an adventure, I am so blessed that God gave me the privilege of raising this amazing little boy.
We are finally back in Huntsville, but Mama (me) has laryngitis...that is a first too : ) Luckily, Meme came up to spend Mother's Day plus a few extra days with us. We all had a simple day. Owen and Daddy gave me a pretty card and a gift certificate to go get a deluxe pedicure...which I am very excited about! We had lunch and I took David to the airport. He will be in Washington, D.C. for a few days for a family medicine congressional conference.
...but my favorite part of the day, Owen babbled "mamama". He may have just run across those syllables while jabbering, but it made my heart happy to hear him utter those sweet sounds : )
