All about the water

This is the picture of what we woke up to every morning. A kiddo that was ready to get to the "wawer "(water). Float in hand, trying to get the door open, so he could get to the water!

It is really no secret that Owen is ALL about the water.

From his first beach trip, he has been a water lover.

He could care less about the sand. He is not a kiddo who sits for hours and plays happily in the sand.

Nope, straight to the water!

The water from the gulf was on the chilly side this beach trip.

But he happily stood and let the waves crash up on him with a thrill in his little squeal.

And when those little teeth would get to chattering, we would head for the indoor pool. Along, the way we got to use the water hose to wash our feet off, which Owen thought was great fun.

Owen LOVED the pool.

We bought this little floatie device called a puddle jumper. It's like floaties but also has a float around his chest to keep him up and floating.

It was perfect for this stage of swimming in the pool.

Mr. Independent doesn't like to be held in the pool. He can do it all by himself.

So he was able to bob around, jump off the steps, kick his feet and practice blowing bubbles.

I love watching his joy in the water.

I have a feeling he'll be swimming like a fish before we know it.

  1. So fun! I can't wait for swimming season to begin. Carter's going to LOVE IT! We got a puddle jumper last year, but he was still too small. Excited to see him with it this year.

  2. How fun! The water at the beach looked so pretty and clear. It's always a bummer to be there when the seaweed is bad. FYI, that last shot is one of the best yall have ever taken. The expression on Owen's face, the blue of the pool water, the vibrant red and blue stripes...I love everything about it. I need to learn a few things from you!
