farmer's market

We checked out the local farmer's market this morning downtown Waco next to the Brazos River.

The market is every Saturday from 9 until 1. Several friends recommended getting breakfast there and I am so glad we took that recommendation. They make made-to-order breakfast burritos and crêpes... 

Yes, that would be banana and nutella with fresh whipped creme and powdered sugar...super yummy!

Making crêpes to order, think I might go for the grilled peaches and strawberries next time.

We love honey in our house, so we purchased a small bottle to take home.

We also brought home some peppers, zucchini 

tomatoes, squash, and peaches.

 They may not be Chilton County, but they are quite sweet and delicious.

And look who we ran into...the Jacksons.

Gretchen, their dog, was helping Dr. Henry and Ms. Stephanie make their purchases. Those carrots are beautiful and for future reference, they go quickly on Saturday mornings.

It's fair to say that you can find some great produce as well as meats at the market.

We heard that the brick oven pizzas were great,

but decided to save that for another day.

This little pup was adorable, and if he had been for sale I might have taken him home.

We listened to some tunes

said some thank you's 

and called it a successful trip to the farmer's market. It is definitely fair to say we will be back. I think I could get used to spending my Saturday mornings in such a fun setting.
