We sang this song in church Sunday, and I couldn't help think about our fun night with friends.

You just don't realize what a blessing it is to have friends who

moved to Texas from Alabama

are going through residency at the same time you are

have a little boy the same age as yours

understand toddlers and everything that goes with them

are learning a new town 

meeting new neighbors

finding a new church home

finding new friends

trying to find their new normal 

...the get it, they really and truly get what are life is like.

It was so refreshing to have a night with them this weekend. After the little boys went to bed, the grown ups sat outside looking up at the night sky God created and watched for meteors...beautiful.
