Weeks before our trip to Alabama, Owen had one thing on his mind: Papa's fire helmet.
He thinks his Papa is pretty cool and the fact he is a volunteer fireman who gets to wear a really cool helmet is the icing on the cake. They walked around the house playing firemen, checking rooms and declaring "all clear". Owen loved the light on the helmet...things don't get much better in his world.
Owen also got to go fishing for the first time.
Papa and Nana built this pond for moments like this...making beautiful memories with their grandkids enjoying the simple beauty of the outdoors.
Owen's favorite part was reeling it back in...of course he was convinced he could do it all by himself : )
He may not have been a big fan of the actual fish,
but he was a big fan of driving through the woods.
Know it was a special day for them all.
