It was fun to decorate and get together all our monkey munchies.
Glass containers held animal crackers, chocolate chip cookies and tootsie pops! Uncle Ben gave Owen his sock monkey
Meme made a super fun birthday banner for the party.
We placed bright sunflowers in an old Taffy jar from my great-grandfather's store (Gammy's dad).
We had lots of friends and family swing on in to have some fun!
After all, our little monkey was turning one!
And then it was cake time...
It is always nice to share with your best buddy, especially when cake is involved.
Owen got some really special gifts. A red wagon from Gammy and Papa Don. Pop gave Owen a log truck since he was a logger for many many years.
While the decorations were colorful, the new toys were fun and the cupcakes were yummy, the best part of the day was having so many special people at his party.
How many little boys get to share their first birthday with both sets of grandparents and 2 sets of great-grandparents?

The party was perfect! You did a wonderful job! What special memories you created for Owen and for so many people who love him. It was wonderful to spend an afternoon celebrating the special gift God blessed us with one year ago! We love you Owen!
